Course outcomes

  • By the end of the Collaborative Thinking course, participants will think more clearly and independently by cultivating intellectual diversity and intellectual humility. They will seek out and integrate diverse perspectives, reassess assumptions in light of new evidence, and refine their thinking to make better decisions in complex environments.

Who is this course for?

Collaborative Thinking Training is designed for managers, professionals, and cross-functional teams who want to strengthen critical thinking, welcome diverse perspectives, challenge assumptions constructively, and build the confidence to adapt their views when presented with new evidence.

Delivery options

Group size: Workshops, from 2-hour sessions to full-day, for small (up to 12), medium (up to 25), or large groups up to 50. High-impact keynote sessions of up to 90 minutes, for audiences from 51 to 200+ participants.

Measurement: We monitor progress to levels 1 and 2 of the Kirkpatrick model, and can support your internal monitoring through to levels 3 and 4. We have the capacity to use milestone charts, post-training action programmes, and coaching.

Understanding why intellectual diversity and humility are essential, and recognising the irrational forces that influence our thinking.

Cognitive dissonance

Exploring the common instinct to resist contradiction and outside influence, and learning practical ways to overcome it.

Psychological safety

Creating an environment where people feel comfortable speaking up without anxiety or repercussion.

Building a diverse knowledge base

Breaking out of inertia and groupthink by drawing on eclectic, trans-disciplinary sources.

Confidence through humility

Learning how to review, revise, and change your mind, using intellectual flexibility as a source of strength.
