Frequently asked questions

What is diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training, and why is it important?

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training helps people understand how to create workplaces where everyone feels respected, valued, and able to contribute. It develops awareness, encourages inclusive behaviours, and equips organisations to strengthen collaboration, innovation, engagement, and fairness across diverse teams.

What’s the best way to measure the success and ROI of diversity and inclusion initiatives?

The impact of DEI initiatives can be measured through employee engagement and inclusion surveys, retention rates, recruitment and promotion data, participation levels, and feedback on workplace culture. Organisations should also monitor behavioural changes, collaboration, and employees’ sense of belonging in order to evaluate long-term business value.

How can small businesses implement DEI training on a limited budget?

Small businesses can begin by providing practical DEI training for managers and teams, embedding inclusive behaviours into everyday meetings, recruitment, and communication, and encouraging regular discussion and reflection. Starting with simple, consistent actions often delivers meaningful improvements without requiring significant investment.
