Frequently asked questions

Why do managers struggle with delivering negative feedback, and how does this training help?

Many managers worry that negative feedback will damage relationships, reduce morale, or create conflict. This course provides practical frameworks and techniques for delivering constructive feedback with confidence, empathy, and clarity, enabling managers to address performance issues while maintaining trust and encouraging positive behavioural change.

What practical feedback training exercises are included for first-time managers?

Participants practise delivering constructive feedback through realistic workplace scenarios, guided discussions, and structured exercises. They explore recognised feedback models, receive expert advice, and develop the confidence to handle both positive and corrective feedback in a supportive learning environment before applying their skills at work.

How does the course teach managers to handle defensive reactions while maintaining psychological safety?

The course shows managers how to prepare feedback conversations carefully, use objective language, listen actively, and respond calmly to defensive reactions. Participants learn techniques that encourage open dialogue, reduce tension, and maintain psychological safety while keeping conversations focused on improvement and shared outcomes.

How do we adapt constructive feedback delivery for remote or distributed teams?

Delivering feedback remotely requires greater attention to clarity, timing, and communication style. This course explores how to structure virtual feedback conversations, build rapport through online communication, and use recognised feedback techniques to maintain trust, engagement, and accountability across remote and distributed teams.
