Karsten Schmidt brings 20 years of global experience in leadership development, communication strategies, and global team building. Having lived and worked in China for nearly 14 years, he combines Western and Chinese business insights to deliver unique, impactful training sessions. Karsten studied at Fudan University, set up and led the Chinese office of Germany’s largest PR company and managed a Chinese-Western team.
Karsten's expertise stems from a rich career that includes time as the US news correspondent for Germany’s largest private TV station, covering critical events like 9/11. He was awarded a lectureship at Heinrich Heine University, where he lectures in Practical Communication (public speaking, persuasion, and interaction). His unique combination of professional experience and cultural adaptability makes him a sought-after trainer and coach. In China, he has coached and trained leaders, managers, and teams, helping to drive measurable results. Whether it’s mastering communication, leading through change, or enhancing team dynamics, Karsten's methods are interactive, engaging, and tailored to deliver immediate impact.
