Meet the trainer
David draws on a combination of leadership experience, facilitation expertise, and two decades as a professional actor and director to deliver training that is practical, engaging, and built on authentic connection. As an award winning actor, David has performed in London’s West End, multiple UK national tours and worldwide in New York, Berlin, Shanghai and Amsterdam, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. He’s also an award winning stage director and has appeared in numerous television commercials.
Prior to his acting career, David started as a teacher and progressed to teacher training and supervision, eventually joining the core management team at New York City’s largest language school – where he gained hands-on experience in managing people and resolving conflict. Later, as a Certified Workshop Leader and Message Design Instructor with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, he trained scientists across the United States to effectively communicate the meaning and importance of their work with clarity and purpose to legislators, funders and laymen alike.
As a specialist in role play training, David uses his varied repertoire of know-how to help professionals rehearse high-stakes conversations, test new strategies in a safe environment, and build the confidence to think on their feet. His role play sessions sharpen communication and foster empathy by turning abstract concepts into lived experience.
