A ‘Taste’ of Spring

The new Spring colours are coming in thick and fast – so delicious, and so tempting after this long, cold winter.  Have you seen the ‘almost’ fluorescent, neon brights?  Get salivating over the raspberry and cream pink jeans, and jelly bean coloured cardigans.

But… before all that, think about the important purchases!  And one you should definitely make this time of year is a new work outfit.  Why?  Because there’s more choice of colour this time of year, and the fabrics are lighter.  Spring suits are the perfect weight for the office all year round – winter suits tend to be heavier.  The tweeds, flannels and boucles, are too hot for most heated offices.  Remember a quality work outfit, (suit, or jacket and dress or skirt) is a worthwhile investment and should last at least a year or two.  It’s always worth splashing out on something that you know looks good – you’ll ooze confidence.  Have a look at LK Bennett’s Vally Suit in navy (great change from black and grey); and the Halina and Allina light tweed jackets with co-ordinates.  Very smart but really comfy to wear all day whether it’s cold or warm outside.

Also check your raincoat and buy a new trench if you need one, in two months’ time you won’t find one, and a classic trench coat is another of those must-have items that last year in, year out.

…Oh go on then, get the yummy pink jeans too!
