Working Voices is a global communication and presentation skills consultancy

Kate Faragher

Kate’s background lies mainly in the broadcast media, theatre and entertainment television. No surprise, therefore, that the range of subjects she coaches for Working Voices so expertly and effectively, is so wide. It’s detailed below.

After studying at Edinburgh University, Kate worked for BBC Radio News – principally the flagship “Today” programme – before training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

That in turn led to stage-acting parts under the eye of such theatre luminaries as Sir Peter Hall, and to film and TV-acting parts including a role in the UK cult TV series, “This Life”.

Always moving onward and upward, Kate’s natural next step was into theatre and film production, a period during which she prepared for, pitched for and won, corporate and public funding for a succession of ventures.

Which brings Kate’s story to 1998 when she was asked to work with management teams to develop business-winning techniques for Client visits. It was the start of her career in coaching and led to Working Voices inviting her to join the company, and to the growth of her coaching repertoire to one which now encompasses Presentation Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Negotiation Skills, Media Training and Business Writing . She is expert in them all and in constant demand at all levels within our Client’s organisations. Large groups or small and from the most senior audience to the least, Kate is universally acknowledged as a fantastic coach. “Empathic”, “creative”, “thoughtful”, “interesting”. This is what they say about Kate – and we agree.
