Darren Black

Darren is a highly experienced business professional having spent over fifteen years working in dynamic, creative and target-driven environments.

His management roles have seen him working in financial services, manufacturing, internet-service provision and charities. His experience in these sectors has spanned the globe from the UK to India and Canada.

Darren began his business career as a coach and trainer in the charity sector and soon developed his skills into the areas of operational management and business strategy. By the time he became the operations director for the leading telephone-fundraising agency in the UK, he had written and delivered numerous coaching and communications training programmes.

Being passionate about the way people talk to and understand each other has always been at the heart of Darren’s approach to his work. This not only comes from his strong belief that exceptional communication lies at the core of any successful business, but also his practical experience on the front-line of communication. ; That experience ranges from presenting at board level to speaking at large corporate events and awards ceremonies. No matter what the size or the pedigree of the audience might be, he believes that great communication skills allow individuals to expand their capabilities and drive business performance. We agree!

Darren is a Bachelor of Arts and on top of everything we’ve just been talking about, has spent over ten years working as an actor in theatre and television in the UK. When he’s not busy at Working Voices he spends his time developing projects with a theatre production company for productions in London’s West End, Broadway and touring around the world.
