Nick Fordham understands people. He knows how to put them at their ease. Emotional intelligence, personal presence, building rapport, dealing successfully with challenging individuals, it’s all second nature to Nick.
Little surprise, therefore, that after graduating from Oxford University, he entered that most prominent of “people” sectors, the leisure industry, and was quickly bringing his flair to the jobs of turning around failing restaurants and selling ever-larger quantities of top-of-the-range wine!
He also made time, though, to hone those innate people skills i) by attending and graduating from drama school where his communication and presentation expertise was given a professional gloss, and ii) by seizing every opportunity to gain experience tutoring others.
Still less of a surprise, therefore, that he has added a University teaching post to his extensive CV and, least surprise of all, that he has, over the years, trained numerous groups and mentored numerous individuals on his journey to becoming a master-trainer.
These days Nick works out of Shanghai and heads-up Working Voices’ representation in China and Asia. He specialises in delivering our courses and stand-alone 1:1 coaching sessions in a very respectable list of disciplines – Presentation Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Negotiation Skills, Voice Coaching and Stress Management.
Running workshops, delivering tailored programmes, making podium talks in large auditoriums, coaching CEOs, MDs and Directors for some crucial speaking task, it’s all work that Nick not only takes in his stride but also loves to do.
In particular he’s sought-after as a 1:1 coach. He’ s able to offer this platinum-standard learning experience at ALL levels within the Client organisation. The only requirement in those he coaches is a desire to learn. Nick has the technique to do the rest.
